A large industrial kitchen is adjacent to the living room, and this is where many deadmen come to acquire food. There are tables and chairs set up around the place, and along one wall is a serving area where inmates may get whatever food they desire.

Yosuga wandered around the area of the kitchen. Of course, she stopped by the area where the sweets lied. Her eyes softened at them. She did need extra cast points besides the Carnival Corpse. Maybe, she can work in the kitchen baking sweets. Both her and Toto loved sweets so much after all. But she didn't know who to talk to for it. She let out a discouraged sigh looking at all the tasty treats she could eat or bake.

Crow had gotten pretty hungry after the events in his bedroom, and training most of the day. He noted someone else in the kitchen. Yousuga, looked like she was eyeing some of the treats there. He smirked a little bit and leaned in against the doorframe. "Hey there....you gonna make some of those?" He hadn't really spoken with her a whole lot, nobody really did. Not a lot was known about this girl, but everyone seemed to avoid her. He figured if anything he might try to see why. What's up with her that made everyone so....uncomfortable?

"Ex... excuse me..." a soft voice fluttered in from behind the muscular man. The Japanese was accented, understandable, but the fragmentation and improper article usage suggested that it was not used by a native speaker.
Robin was standing behind crow, awkwardly craning her small body to try to get past him in the door way. Like usual, she was barefoot, her toes painted expertly with little clouds and suns of varying colors. Her glasses were sliding down a thin angular nose, a big splotch of blue paint adorned her left cheek as her mismatched eyes searched past him and past the young girl in search of something more. "May I please get by?' She was overly polite, clearly if her skin and eyes were not clue enough her speech was, she was not a native to Japan. Her lip curled inward as she bit on it gently, pushing her glasses back up with her index finger measuring herself compared to Crow and the door frame trying to find a way to fit.

He turned his head, seeing the girl trying to get by him. Rubbing the back of his head, he chuckled nervously and took a wide step to the side. "Oh, sorry about that, didn't see you there." Clearing his throat a bit he moved over to the refrigerator. Pulling the door open he grabbed a beer, and flicked the cap off with his thumb. Turning back to Robin, he leaned back against the wall. "So um, you one of the new guys? We've been getting a lot of those here lately...."

She gave him a bit of a blank looking smile as if trying to process what he said. "Hello..." she said at last as she moved into the room starting to look around. "Y...yes I am new..." she added seriously thinking over her words before saying them. "My name is Gwenivere... Gwenivere Delaney... um..." she faltered eyes cast downward and flickered back up. "Gwen." She added with a bit more confidence. "They call me the Robin..." she turned starting to search through cupboards."

"Robin huh?" He noted most of her hesitations. Was she just this nervous being so new? Or was something not quite right upstairs? He couldn't really tell, she seemed alright enough though. Taking a sip of the beer, he seemed to be thinking of something to say next. She seemed uncomfortable but awkward silences made him uncomfortable. "So Robin, how long you been here? You meet up with any of the other guys yet?" He wasn't sure if woodpecker had greeted her yet or not, or anyone else for that matter.

She looked back over at him poking her head out of a cabinate it had been hurried in. She smiled happily. "Oh no I just got here." She replied earnestly. "You're the first person that I've had the pleasure of speaking with." Her grammar was shoddy and her speech was way too formal but she was trying. "I think..." she placed her index finger against her cheek. "That many people are off-put by my weak language skills." She grinned a bit and turned back to the kitchen shelves looking thoughtful. She seemed to have more to say as she turned back to Crow opening a nearby drawer. "I'm from America if you haven't guessed." She added with an awkward little laugh.

He smirked a bit and chuckled slightly, sipping away at the beer once more. "Ah the states eh? No wonder, it sounded like you were having some trouble. Don't sweat it you're not worse than anyone else here. Man, I'm starving." Turning back to the cabinets she had since moved from he reached in and began shuffling around until he found a bag of jerky and peanut butter. Grabbing a spoon he tore the bag open and took off the lid of the peanut butter, starting into a very...odd lunch.

She watched him for a second eyeing his food choice with some hesitation. "Is that some sort of Japanese dish?" She asked uncertainly trying not to look grossed out by his unusual cullinary choices.

Marik walked down the hall toward the kitchen, looking around at the strange and unfamiliar place. He'd only been here a few days, and it was the first time he'd ventured out of his room. He just... couldn't leave his room any earlier. His closet was always a mess, no matter how many times he tried to reorganize it, over and over and over again... And the nightmares... They wouldn't leave him alone, they just kept coming, and coming... He couldn't stop being angry, and he'd be angry at absolutely nothing, and there was nothing for him to vent his anger on except to throw his blankets and clothes (well, what very few, near non-existant clothes he had) all around, which would once again force him to have to reorganize it and put it the way it was supposed to be... He thought he would go insane from it.
But finally, he could think now. He could think, and be calm, and now that he was fine, he was hungry, and he needed food. So he made his way into the kitchen, only pausing for a minute or so at the people already in there. Since none of them held an interest to him at the moment, he made his way over to the counters to get some food.

"Oh!" Robin perked up as a new face entered the room. She didn't mind the silence but since he was where she hadn't looked yet she might as well ask questions. "If you don't mind could you tell me if you find the vanilla extract over there?"

Marik paused as he heard a female voice call out. He wasn't sure if it was directed at him or not. Should he ignore her and just go on? No, that would be rude... He should look and see if she was looking at him. If she was, then he'd know. If not, then he could just go on his way. He tuned toward the voice and saw the girl looking at him. He stared at her for a moment as she asked about the extract. What was vanilla extract? Was that some kind of ice cream? He guessed so. She must want ice cream. He wouldn't mind some either. "Okay..." he said softly.

Senji looked at her from the question and back down to the odd food combinations. Chuckling a bit, being full aware of the choices he shook his head. "Oh nah it's not really, just something I put together one day and found out it tasted good." He glanced over to the yet, another new face, he chuckled a bit to himself more so than anything else. So yet another new guy....this should be interesting. He couldn't wait to fight some of these guys and see what they were worth. Taking a piece of the jerky, he spooned some of the peanut butter across it and took a bite, savoring the taste of it all, chewy and creamy, just the way he liked it with a bit of a smoky bite to it.

"Great delightful! Thank you!" She clapped her hands exactly three times in excitement. She was very appreciative howvlever it seemed this newcomer was in a bad state. Then again most everyone she saw was moody. Only the man called Crow seemed cheery at all. But they were in jail... that seemed distressing. "Well..." she eyed Crow's food choice again. "I happened to take home economics elwhile in boarding school. Would it be against policy if I offered to cook for everyone? Perhaps something more..." her eyes flicker back to Crow's food. "Sustainable? Is... that the right word?"
