Kin took in his words the way a diligent student would. Relentless attacker. Someone that kept on the offensive all the time, not leaving openings....Right? It made her jump a bit to see the force and violence from the bag, but his nerves soon settled back down. Seeing his hand wandering down his body, his toned up and fit body.....a slight flush filled his face and she reached a hand up to lightly fan himself with a flattened hand. "Sides....are exposed." She repeated to take a note of it. So that was where he should strike in that case....How kind was this man to be teaching him what she was doing.

Nero nodded and straightened his body up. "As I said before, every opponent is different." Nero tapped his temple with his index finger, "Use your head. Different strategies will help you gain the upper hand."

Kin nodded. "Right...So it's a lot about watching for things?...and what about getting stronger?...I never really worked out before...." He was a seamstress before coming to Deadman Wonderland. What business did she have strength training when all he wanted to do was go home and watch reruns of bad reality television?

Nero nodded. Kin, as of this moment at least, seemed to be the only level-headed and kind Deadman inmate Nero had talked to. Not like he talked to many of course, but it was at least nice to know that not everyone here was insane. "If you wish to get stronger you have to train. It may seem difficult at first, but pace yourself. One is not simply born with strength, it has to be earned."

He nodded. "I thought so...so like, free weights....running....does it matter what I do, or just that I do it?" She thought that Crow could take over bieng more of a personal trainer. Nero didn't seem to be very trusting or sociable, but at least he was nice enough. Kin didn't want to be a bother and wouldn't impose her friendship on the man if it was unwanted.

"If you want to build up your strength you need a variety of work outs that train different parts of your body." Might as well follow up with an example; Nero returned to his original position in front of the post as he picked up the exercise band handles again. He had come to the weight room today for mainly upper body training. "Bench pressing and cross overs are both good for the chest, biceps, shoulders, and triceps." Nero pulled the band and felt his muscles at work with the resistance. After a few more pulls, Nero stepped back and offered a handle to Kin, "Would you like to test it out?"

Kin nodded his head in understand. This guy was so many levels of helpful. When offered the handle, she was a bit tentative at first, but did take it. "sure. I can give it a shot." How hard could it be? "Just cross it over the front of me like this?" He pulled it forward and over her chest, downward, at first thinking he was doing well until her arm trembled. In some freak giving of his muscles, her arm flew back, taking the rest of Kin with it. She was spun about and staggered, falling against the machine with wide eyes. "Oh my god! It just like, attacked me! did you see that?!....It's vicious...." There was a slight joking tone to the almost sarcastic shock in his voice.

Nero crossed his arms and watch as, at first, Kin seemed to have the hang of it. Until her arm trembled and lost against the band's tension. Nero watched as Kin flew back with the bands and spun around and wobbled. Before Kin said anything, Nero's eye was wide while his mind raced with concern, yet after hearing Kin's reaction it appeared that she had found it to be funny. That's when something rare happened, something so limited now a days; Nero's lips had a slight upward curve to them. He seemed to give a huff of a chuckle before he looked at Kin and asked, "Are you alright?"

Kin returned the slight smile with a warm natured one of his own. "I'm fine...Just really weak right now....But I'll work at it." he took the handle and tried again, this time with her opposite arm. Keeping more steady and being more aware, he managed to complete one rep with the tool. "Like that huh? Looks like I'm gonna be in here a lot soon....Gotta get ready to defend myself...." He seemed to get a bit nervous for a moment, looking at the ground and thinking. "...Nero...what are the carnival corpse matches like?...how bad are they?"

Nero nodded, "I'm in here daily. Each day I dedicate to a part of my body." All that Kin needed was practice. It wasn't exactly easy for Nero to lift a weight when he was first thrown into Deadman Wonderland, yet over time his body was able to endure more as his strength increased. When Kin asked what the Carnival of Corpse was like, Nero's slight smile vanished. His light Eden green iris seemed to dim like a shadow was casted over it. His voice grew hollow and distant as he simply replied, "It's hell."

Kin looked away from the man and nodded. "oh....I see...." there was an odd tension that washed over her. He was, above all else, terrified of what was going to happen. She could feel a lump rising in his throat as tears teased he corners of her eyes. "....I'm just....so scared! Why do we have to do this?....I don't wanna get torn up! And I don't wanna have to condemn people to that either...." The threat of being in a Carnival Corpse always loomed in the back of Kin's mind whether he was in a happy mood or not. IT was always there to ruin her fun.

Nero noticed Kin's eyes become glossy as she announced how scared she was. It truly was an upsetting moment whenever a woman, or a child, would cry. There wasn't exactly a lot of things Nero could do to lighten things up, how could he when he himself found his thoughts to be in a somber place. He wasn't a motivational speaker, he wasn't too much of a speaker at all actually. Yet the only logical thing to say to Kin would have to be supportive. "You can see it two ways; You face your fears and come out the winner; or if you lose, you try again whenever it may be and prove to everyone that you have what it takes to survive." It wasn't much, if anything it may have sounded harsh, but isn't that the reality in Deadman Wonderland?

She nodded his head at that. "....True...There's no reason to get worked up over it...." Those were the words that she said, but his current state seemed to think otherwise. "...It's gonna happen. I can't change it, can't fight it. It just does, and either I'm ready or I'm not....I'd rather be ready...." She wiped his eyes and straightened back up, trying to repress the little outburst of emotion. Kin hated being sad in front of others. She didn't want to worry them or make them have to put on so many efforts just to cheer him up.

It wasn't that Nero did not care about Kin's worry, he did, but he wasn't exactly sure how to react to it. She said she wanted to be ready, she even braved the step of asking for help. Solitude was Nero's preferred party, but how could he idly sit back and ignore a true call for help? Nero rubbed the back of his neck and released a sigh, "I'm no mentor... and I normally let other's deal with their own problems, but... if you are truly determined to learn how to fight, then I will try to help you."

Kin gave the man a bright smile, a smile of true gratitude. "...you really mean that?...." So far, Kin seemed to have been lucky with her findings in the men of this place. This was the second one she had met being willing to help him. "thank you so much, Nero...." It really gave her back faith that there were good people even in prison. He acted on the bliss that filled her, something he did often, and stepped forward to give the man a grateful hug. Kin was an open and affectionate being, but sincerely hoped the hug wouldnt terrify the poor shy thing.
